My Vision for Portage

As a City Council member, I will work tirelessly to ensure that our city remains a great place to live, work, and raise a family. I believe that by investing in our schools, supporting our local businesses, and working to create housing and opportunities for all, we can continue to grow and thrive as a community. With your help, I am committed to making Portage a city that we can all be proud to call home.

Priorities

Neighborhood Engagement

To strengthen the bonds of communication between residents and City leadership, I will champion the creation of a Neighborhood Engagement Program focused on building trust, fostering relationships, and creating accessible spaces for open dialogue. Whether through coffee chats, neighborhood block parties, or roundtable discussions, we want to empower residents with the tools and platforms to raise concerns, celebrate wins, and stay informed.

The Farmers Market

Our multi-million-dollar Farmers Market Development, scheduled to open in 2026, is one of the most highly anticipated projects in the city. We are already engaging with local vendors, musicians, and residents to help shape the market’s offerings, including the highly anticipated night market experience.

Small Business

We’ve already seen great success with the launch of the Portage Business Registry and Portage Pocket Pay, a local incentive program encouraging residents to shop locally. As we look ahead, we know that upcoming state-led construction projects may impact on the vitality of our small business community.
