Leadership and Experience

Jihan's dedication to our city's betterment and her experience make her an ideal candidate for City Council. Her focus on community enhancement and her determination to create positive change align with the values that Portage stands for.

What direct experience does Jihan have that will help her in office?

In October 2021 Jihan was appointed to the City of Portage Human Services Board by Portage City Council. In that time, She's had the opportunity to work with city leaders, present proclamations before City Council, lead National Red Ribbon week in partnership with Portage Public Schools and with the phenomenal Human Services Board help implement the first Community Human Services Open House to showcase local organization making a difference in the lives of our fellow Portage Citizens. In the fall of 2022, Jihan was elected Vice Chair of the Human Services Board.
